Daniel N. Erasmus
Daniel N. Erasmus is Of Counsel at Lemoine & Lefebvre, LLP. He concentrates his practice in International Tax Law. While Daniel is not admitted in any individual state; Daniel is a member of the U.S. Tax Court Practitioners, and able to practice before the U.S. Federal Tax Court before the IRS in all States under Circular 230. Daniel has successfully advised various international companies and multi-nationals in tax disputes and settled various tax controversies totaling approximately $3 billion USD, in the last 10 years.
Daniel received his Bachelor of Arts in Law from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa. Currently, he is working on completing his doctorate at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. Recently, Daniel was re-elected chairperson of the Law Societies of South Africa Tax and Exchange Control matters committee.
Daniel is an adjunct professor of International Tax Law for the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, and professor for their African associated educational institutions. Daniel lectures is various tax law areas, such as: International Tax and Finance Law, Transfer Pricing, and Tax Procedural Law from various countries. When he is not lecturing, Daniel has published and co-authored various tax books in international tax law: VAT for Lawyers, Managing 7 Habitual Tax Mistakes Handbook, Tax Intelligence, Lexis Nexis S. Africa Chapter: Foreign Tax & Trade Briefs and Lexis Nexis S. Africa Chapter: Company Law.
